"There was no shower, only a bathtub. It was very hot inside our room, the thermostat did not work so we tried opening the window but it had no bug screens so the mosquitos came in. A large group checked in at 2:00 a.m. and woke us up as there was little to no sound barrier between rooms. The curtains did not fully cover the window so a lot of light still came in the room making it difficult to sleep."

"This is one of two hotels in town and they are catering to snowmachiners. They need to work on upgrading the operation. For 100 dollars a night I'd like a shower. Maintenance will soon be a huge issue. Overall it was a dry place to sleep. Next year I'll take a travel trailer."

"More of an old and weathered, slightly run down Hotel but most of the so called Lodges in the area are about the same and just as expensive if not more. They did have a lounge and cafe/restaurant which other places don't. They have a great hamburger line-up but expensive. Lazy-J is comparable to an older Motel 6 at twice the price - but that's Alaska. For my first time to Alaska, Lazy-J was a descent experience and I did all 50 states in the last 14 months. There are better lodges but will cost 2 to 5 times more."
